My Southern Giraffe triptych received an Acceptance award in the 2026 Nelson National Triptych Salon, an annual competition run by the Nelson Camera Club. A storm over the Glenorchy end of Lake Wakatipu causes dramatic light rays to reign down on the landscape. It was an amazing afternoon beside the lake, watching the storm clouds roll in and out, and the light rays dance across the landscape. I was with a couple of friends, and we spent about two hours here taking photos and watching the drama unfold.
